alternate designs of posters

Hi Guys,

i've been informed that i have to come up with another 2 or 3 designs for the posters to choose from so i would like u guys to give me some comments about the colour choice of the posters...

do give me a range of colours or better, a few colour combination... i would then go through colour theory n come up with the remaining posters...

i need to have the comfirmed taglines oso... And the theme of the posters would probably revolve around performance or dreams about performing... yea.. so pls give me and update asap...

if there's any other comments or additional opinions about the current poster, pls do give me an update as well... i will try to complete the posters by the next meeting with jimmy if possible, so do give me an update soon~
thanks...

cheers,
Sly~

My advice: Break out of the purple-and-black and give some variety!

This one is for a jazz camp. Typography, black and yellow

This group did, surprisingly, something similar to ours. Colours used were peach-and-white. Not pink.

Dreams about performing ah... we have to stick to the suggested taglines? I stick by my past suggestion, unless you want more taglines.

frankly, i like the colour scheme.

however, i think the drumkit could be bigger, maybe expanded into becoming a background pic instead of being squashed into the corner.

also, i find summary slightly too wordy.

before i can comment more, i just need to ask some qns...like, is 'next gen' the confirmed camp theme?

I still like the colours. Though if possible, throw in a few bright colours to make it more vibrant.

Dreams about performing..
I suddenly thought of a few taglines. Like, Embrace the Music, Jam with Glam or Unveil your Dreams. It's very random but yeah.

Lets make the poster sweet, short and simple. Lesser words around the poster so people walking pass it would know whats it about and not lose their footing. Use big bombastic words! WOO!

Other than that, to me the poster looks fine. Taking care =)

milli~ the next gen is meant for the camp name.... hahaa.. theme of the posters will be revolving around "performance".. =) and also, the current poster will be edited again.. the drumkit will be enlarged and thrown into the bg with fade, other intruments like guitar and bass will be added in as well... i'll den post again to see if its too overwhelming.. =)

zaki~ those taglines were great~~ should have thrown those in earlier.. lol...

i'll jus duplicate the designs of my upcoming posters and use the different taglines...

m.p~ the current poster is already set to purple and black.. but i'll be creating 2 or 3 more newposters so i'll probably try out the color suggestions and come out with the deisign asap.. thanks for the suggestion of colours... =)

thanks for the updates.. do keep them comin if there's any more comments...

cheers~

i'm thinking maybe you would like to try more contrasting colors like yellow, red to brighten up the whole poster as like what i've said before, the posters look a bit dull.

I like the taglines in the first draft so nothing much from me.

I'm thinking maybe you might want to try breaking down that big chuck of word into point form instead. It'll be easier to read.

I was just thinking, why not summarise the chunk of words further and make it slightly bigger?

Also include objective of camp? :)
Just a suggestion.

thanks for the replies.

i have an alt. suggestion for e chunk of words..

next gen - for music industry enthusiasts aged 15 - 19
take this opportunity to indulge and explore now!

or soooomething along those lines. haha.

and another tagline: BRING IT!

(heh it all sounds super lame now i've typed my ideas out. goodness.)

milli. it sounds pretty cool for the chunk of words! It's not lame, or the planning process of everything will be lame.
