2nd june meeting

okay, i'll split this up into a couple of categories regarding what was discussed yesterday!

committee roles (so far)

overall head of project: vera (duh, hahaha)
programme and research: jonadab
logistics: pei ling
human resource: zaki
admin: amelia

outstanding roles: marketing/publicity, treasurer

role descriptions

programme and research

- to look up similar camps and see how those may influence the programme of this one
- come up with fixed plans
- others: would mei poh be taking over the main programme duties?

logistics

- to 'inventorise' equipment available for the camp
- based on programme needs, scout for suitable venues
- liaise with appropriate personnel to make venues/equipment available
- others: food arrangements, amazing race
- who else will assist pei ling?

human resource

- mainly dealing with the helpers and group leaders
- allocation of helpers during various parts of the programme

admin

- i don't think it requires a description. haha.

marketing/publicity

- how to publicise camp
- posters
- come up with a tagline i.e. camp focus in a statement
- make things SO ATTRACTIVE people want to pay
- try to make profit after factoring costs

treasurer

- funds management

right, at the moment there are some ideas we can incorporate into the programme

money matters as it stands
1. helpers paid $4/hr?
2. committee members lump sum of $200-$300? (if $7/hr, then it is around $315)
3. sponsorship for talentime prizes (who is going to neg. for sponsorships?)

proposed dates
1. camp itself - monday to friday, dec 1-5
2. pre camp for helpers/group leaders - end november

next meeting; end of this week and/or next week

to accomplish then: programme and camp focus, finalise committee maybe?
